This series began as an exploration of surface and texture. I was challenged to imitate materials such as cement, stone, and brick walls through handmade paper/pulp. As the work evolved, however, something unexpected happened. I began to see the process as an opportunity to use abstract art as a metaphor for discovering our inner beauty. Beneath life's rough surfaces and protective layers lies something vibrant and authentic. Sometimes, finding who we truly are is as simple as peeling back those layers and revealing our true colors.
“The Wall”
SOLD
This truly was one of my favorites…perfect example of the hard exterior exposing just a hint of colors! I really believe the person who bought this felt the same emotion as I did!
“8 shades of Blue”
The inspiration for this piece came from a group of eight individuals, each working through something deeply personal. Although their experiences were different, they discovered strength in sharing their journeys. The many shades of blue throughout the piece represent a spectrum of emotions, from sorrow and struggle to hope and happiness. Together, these varied experiences form a wall of strength, reminding us that when we support one another, our collective resilience becomes far greater than any challenge we face alone.
